Volunteer

Volunteers are vital to the Smoky Mountain Scottish Festival and Games. As an all-volunteer led, private nonprofit, we depend on volunteers to organize, run and staff the festival.

We’d love to have you come out and support East Tennessee’s premier Scottish/Irish festival! Volunteers will help in various areas such as selling t-shirts and beverages, selling and scanning tickets, assisting in the various areas of the Highland Games or helping where needed while having a great time listening to some of the best of Celtic rock, trad, folk and pop music from around the globe!

Some volunteers are needed for setup the week before the festival, but our biggest need for volunteers is on the Saturday and Sunday of the festival. Volunteers sign up for four-hour shifts.

Each volunteer will receive a free t-shirt, parking pass and same-day admission to the festival!

Get More Involved!

Are you interested in helping to plan and organize the Smoky Mountain Scottish Festival and Games? We are an entirely volunteer-led organization guided by a board of directors and a volunteer council made up of individual committees representing areas such as entertainment, pipe and drums, dance, clans, vendors, entertainment, volunteers, sponsors, marketing and more. These individuals meet year round to ensure that the Smoky Mountain Scottish Festival and Games is the premier festival celebrating and promoting Scottish heritage in east Tennessee.
